Big Car’s Big Tube

Indy CDE financed Big Car’s rehabilitation of a once-blighted 46,000 square-foot industrial factory with a $7.5 million NMTC investment. The Big Tube will house 18 long-term affordable artist studios, five retail storefronts, an exhibition space, an event area, office space for creative/cultural nonprofits, and a café with a professional kitchen. In partnership with community-based organizations, Big Car will offer job training opportunities in culinary arts, maintenance, and hospitality for low-income people every year.
