Indy CDE financed the construction of HqO, the innovation hub at the heart of the 16 Tech Innovation District, with an $8 million NMTC loan. The 16 Tech Innovation District is a 50-acre live-work-innovate community that brings together entrepreneurs, academics, startups, corporations, and creatives in a single place designed to spark the exchange of ideas that lead to innovation.

HqO is the central gathering place for the district, boasting approximately 90,000 square feet of private and flexible office space, a makerspace, and an artisan marketplace.

HqO and 16 Tech were designed to enhance Central Indiana’s innovation ecosystem by providing flexible space for entrepreneurs, academic researchers, and established corporations to meet, make, and innovate. This gathering and workspace is focused on fostering partnerships between Indianapolis neighborhoods and the broader Indianapolis community.

The 16 Tech Innovation District and Innovation Hub are owned and operated by the 16 Tech Community Corporation.
